Left and Right Cerebral hemispheres and Music production

Posted by almazonly

The left and right ears do not differ in their capacity for detecting sound, but the left and right brain halves do. The left cerebral hemisphere processes most speech (verbal) information; thus, the right ear that is wired to this brain side may be perceptually superior for spoken words. So,,, if you love ya listener, use right words to his/her right ear ;) On the other hand, the left ear may be better at perceiving melodies because it is connected to the right brain half that processes melodic (no verbal) information. So,,, therefore must be most of audio engineers pan their backvocals slightly to the right and the leads to the left. Hell, yeah ;) Use this tip !

Basically left brain is logical, and right emotional. and Thus Left Ear, the inner part, cochlea, that contains the basilar membrane, transduces vibrations into neural signal codes to the Right Brain. It is mainly a subject of Psycho-acoustics. So, if ya willing to rise some emotional feelings of people, use their left ear as a target point in music production. I personally gonna pan my main lead instruments, the main melody, mainly slightly to the left, and middle ranged frequency band instruments, like strings or some vocal effects to the right. Hell, yeah ;) Use this tip ! and say whether it helped or share what you think of this mine subjective theory.

The right and left cerebral hemisphere functions are a good place for research in connection to a music production.
